Accredited Solar PV Plant Inspection
For licensed, hybrid and unlicensed Solar PV plants (SPP), our inspection and reporting scope may include:
- Power Plant Quality Certification (ILAC / IAS accredited, scope-dependent)
- Preparation of YEKA progress reports
- Power plant due diligence services
- Full-time A-Grade PV module production inspections
- Specification / contract / RFQ / design reviews
- Full-time construction supervision / monitoring
- Testing and commissioning support
- PR verification & periodic inspections
Floating Solar PV
In line with approaches referenced under IEC 63026, we can provide end-to-end inspection services for floating solar PV projects.
Hybrid Power Plants
For multi-source generation facilities, we can provide end-to-end Owner’s Engineering and inspection services for the Solar PV scope.
Licensed Solar PV
For YEKA projects, we can provide IEC 62446 progress reporting and Owner’s Engineering services requested by relevant authorities.
Unlicensed Solar PV
For plants to be established under unlicensed generation regulations, we can provide end-to-end inspection services.
Plant Inspection and Measurement Services in Line with IEC Standards
We can perform testing and verification activities in line with applicable standards, including IEC 62446 and IEC 60891. Depending on scope, activities may include IV curve measurements, thermographic inspections, EL testing, insulation checks, earthing measurements and performance assessment.
1) IV Curve Measurement (IEC 60891)
Technical outputs may include performance analysis and evaluation of impacts such as LID/PID, microcracks and degradation trends.
2) Hot-Spot Analysis with Drone and Handheld Thermography
Abnormal heating on modules, junction boxes and strings can be detected and reported with risk-based findings.
3) Electroluminescence (EL) Testing
Cell structure, microcracks and production/installation-related damage can be assessed visually.
4) Insulation (Hipot) Tests
Insulation resistance between PV components and earth is measured to evaluate safety and inverter continuity risks.
5) Earthing / Grounding Measurements
Equipotential bonding and grounding continuity can be verified, and results are reported for safety and system protection.
6) PVSyst Simulation Based on Real Data
Using irradiation and temperature data, simulations can be produced to compare expected vs. actual production and evaluate performance ratio.
Solar PV Site Tests
Tests in line with IEC EN 62446 can be handled as Category 1 (mandatory) and Category 2 (optional), depending on scope.
Category 1 Tests
- Grounding and continuity checks
- Polarity verification
- Voc / Isc measurements
- Functional tests
- Insulation assessment
Category 2 Tests
- Thermal inspection of switchboards
- Thermal inspection of PV modules
- IV curve measurements on PV modules/strings
Certification Services
We can provide certified inspection and reporting services for your Solar PV plants (scope-dependent). This may deliver advantages in installation quality, safety, investor confidence and international visibility.
